The 30-day Flight: Dear jetBlue | The 30-day flight

  • tjstankus · 3 months ago
30 days of airplanes. Sounds interesting. Also sounds like a perfect recipe for catching something. I hope you guys plan on washing your hands, like, a lot. Seriously. I'd like to follow this journey, not hear about how you guys got sick after a week.

sorry if this is a duplicate...
This is a great idea...but what about the guy that is doing the same thing all to support a charity? He is raising money to support a school over in Africa...if you are going to do something crazy and pointless, make sure you do it for a reason! http://www.pr.com/press-release/175485

This is ridiculously awesome. Did you hire a firm for your page design? I can't begin to tell you how much I am in love with this page.
  • dcurtis · 3 months ago
Nope, I'm a UI designer. See my blog at http://dustincurtis.com

That's a pretty sweet idea guys. Good luck.

This has the potential to be a huge PR win for JetBlue. Here's hoping you get through to them, and that they are happy to go along with it.

A writer criss-crossed the US in 1994 on Greyhound buses to get a real flavour of the great American tale, check it out - http://bit.ly/UOVaO

Best of luck with it, am so envious.

Looking forward to following this. On a different note, I feel like seeing Alaska Miller's signature changes everything about his crazy and frantic dodgy blogs.
  • esquareda · 3 months ago
    Perfect. I say send it.

How are you doing 43 cities in 30 days when "You may only book one flight per city per day"?
  • Name · 3 months ago
    Nevermind. I understand now.
  • kevin tu 徐 · 3 months ago
Maybe you two can pitch this to a cable network for a show.
  • potterdude · 3 months ago
Justin's signature is a work of art. You guys have fun and I'll be watching.
  • jted · 3 months ago
I bet if you put a PayPal DONATE button on your site and promised to upload text, pix and video every day, people would pay to watch the adventure unfold. It's worth at least one or two movie rentals…
  • VanZoso · 3 months ago
Good Luck, you two! This should be an amazing experience. I'll be watching for sure. I've always wanted to do a travel and adventure show like this, but maybe not so many flights in such a short time :) Have fun and send us some great stories and photos!!!

I wish you guys the best of luck and hope Jet Blue helps you out. Love the project, can't wait to see a bunch of photos.

Pfft! You are assuming people on a plane will want to "chat" with you. You must really have tremendous egos.
  • Saqib · 3 months ago
    Dear 'Name',

As a British-Pakistani Muslim living in London, every time I've travelled in the US, I've come across the some of the most friendliest and welcoming people anywhere in the world, always willing to learn about my life and share about theirs, even on planes and at airports.

That that you assumed the tremendous egos of Dustin and Alaska, probably means you've not had the same good fortune with others, so I wish you better luck in the future though we often only get back what we put out.

In meeting others we often find something in ourselves to refine and leave the world a less ignorant place.

    All the best
    Saqib

Cool. I travel a lot and meet many people; their stories are quite interesting. I think I'm their therapist.

So are you having coffee tomorrow?

I'm taking the JetBlue trip as well. I don't have the luxury of 30 days off, but I have four weekends. This Saturday is my first leg, trying to get to RIC, BUF and SYR and maybe squeeze ROC. Then back home on Sunday late.

Maybe our paths will cross. You can keep track at http://www.cruisinaltitude.com. Follow me on twitter at http://www.twitter.com/mskonfa1990.

prop1269 ".if you are going to do something crazy and pointless, make sure you do it for a reason"

Er, no. Then it wouldn't be pointless ;)

prop1269 > "if you are going to do something crazy and pointless, make sure you do it for a reason!"

Er, no. Otherwise it's not pointless and it becomes less crazy. Which subtracts IMHO ;)
